Arpaouza. The story Returning from a hike during a hot summer a few years ago in the upper Stura valley, we happened upon this small hamlet, above Pietraporzio. It often happens that we were amazed by the view, the charm and the authenticity of the old village houses. Exploring the village, we came across the house that is the current Arpaouza. Being as much with this valley in love as we are, and eager to make its beauty known to others, we decided to renovate the old building and thus allow our guests a comfortable stay in this wonderful place. In the past, the Arpaouza was a typical “big” building of the’ architecture of the Valley. On the ground floor was the stable, in the middle the living quarters and on the top floor the barn with hay. and the beams where agricultural products were hung to be dried. Today, the building has been converted into 4 comfortable apartments. including a large common room on the ground floor.
